Senior Project Controls Engineer – Cost – Bristol & Cardiff

Overview

In this role you will support infrastructure projects in the South West by consolidating progress and cost data, producing monthly performance reports, and promoting digital reporting practices. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure governance and timely cost control, while developing your technical skills on high-profile programmes. The position offers cross-region opportunities and a clear path to grow within project controls. You will help drive accurate reporting and data-driven decisions across projects.

Responsibilities

• Collate progress data from multi-discipline teams to update project/programme cost sheets (e.g., Ecosys)
• Collate cost data to support budget requests and update cost reports
• Prepare monthly reports measuring progress against baselines
• Support training and communication for process application and digital procedures (Power BI)
• Assist Project Controls Manager with governance and assurance of controls processes

Key requirements

• Graduate in a relevant discipline with some project control experience
• Experience in project/programme management with delivery or controls responsibility
• Experience using Ecosys, Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong time management, quick thinking and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous understanding of Project Controls concepts (preferred)
• Experience with infrastructure projects (preferred)
• Full UK Driving Licence
