Overview
In this senior role, you lead and shape teaching, learning, and administration within the Department of Pharmacy, contributing to teaching leadership, curriculum design, and education policy. You will strengthen student experience, employability, and the department’s external profile through innovative teaching, research-informed practice, and knowledge transfer. You will also influence university-wide education strategies and foster inclusive, high-value knowledge exchange. This position offers a significant opportunity to advance pharmacy education at scale while collaborating across disciplines.

Responsibilities
- Lead development and management of teaching, learning, and assessment approaches
- Design contemporary, inclusive curricula at module and programme level
- Engage students in curriculum design and contribute to education policy discussions
- Publish and present on education in pharmacy; participate in external quality assurance (e.g., external examining)
- Contribute to recruitment/admission and doctoral supervision
- Develop and implement teaching, learning, and assessment policies
- Mentor colleagues in education and foster learning excellence
- Lead knowledge transfer, enterprise, and public engagement activities with impact to student experience and employability
- Represent School on committees; contribute to college/university learning and teaching strategy
- Undertake own teaching and assessment across levels; align practice with discipline-based research
Key requirements
- Higher Degree in discipline (PhD)
- GPhC registration
- Excellence in learning and teaching and management/administration
- Strong teaching profile with impact and quality
- Experience with curriculum design, teaching methods, and assessment
- Track record in knowledge transfer and enterprise
- Leadership in administration and committee work
