Director, Delivery Lead

Overview

In this Director, Delivery Lead role, you drive London Market technology delivery for Everest Global Markets, turning business priorities into executable delivery plans. You will lead cross-functional teams across business, technology, vendors, and global delivery, providing transparency on progress, risk, and value to senior stakeholders. You’ll apply agile, hybrid, or traditional delivery methods to complex insurance technology programs, with a focus on speed, quality, and regulatory alignment. A key hook is shaping impactful, data-driven delivery at scale in a risk-focused financial services context.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a portfolio of London Market technology initiatives from planning through implementation and transition to BAU
• Own delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, budgets, resources, and governance
• Run agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery approaches based on the needs of the initiative
• Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to shape priorities, manage backlogs, and link delivery to OKRs and measurable business value
• Prepare senior-level reporting including RAG status, SteerCo packs, dashboards, and financial summaries
• Identify and resolve risks, issues, impediments, and cross-team dependencies
• Coordinate delivery across business, engineering, QA, architecture, data, operations, vendors, and global delivery teams
• Use delivery metrics and KPIs to improve transparency, predictability, and continuous improvement
• Ensure delivery aligns with enterprise standards, architecture governance, information security, regulatory expectations, and operational readiness
• Champion and explore AI to accelerate delivery speed and quality

Key requirements

• Strong proven delivery capability across complex technology change with governance, budgets, and risk management
• Deep understanding of London Market insurance, specialty insurance, Lloyd’s, delegated authority, or broader commercial insurance processes
• Experience with underwriting workflow, placement platforms, quote-to-bind, policy administration, bordereaux, bureau processes, downstream reporting, or regulatory change
• Proficiency applying agile, lean, hybrid, and traditional project delivery models
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Tempo, PPM, and delivery reporting dashboards
• Strong facilitation, coaching, negotiation, and consensus-building skills
• Ability to influence senior leaders and drive decisions
• Data-led mindset with metrics-driven delivery improvement
• Comfort in fast-paced, multi-priority, distributed environments
• Strategic enough to see the bigger picture while unblocking delivery
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, distributed teams, and global delivery models
• Experience in Agile Project Management, Programme Management, and portfolios of smaller projects
• London Market, Lloyd’s, and specialty insurance experience
• Experience implementing Underwriting Workbench platforms for the London Market and integrations with Whitespace and PPL
• Experience enabling AI throughout the Software Delivery Lifecycle to increase productivity
