Overview

In this role you shape and deliver broad business tax advisory services for a diverse client base, spanning mid-market to international groups. You will work with senior stakeholders to support tax planning, due diligence, and structuring for M&A while developing the team and expanding client relationships. The role blends technical excellence with practical delivery and offers exposure to strategic, high-impact projects. You will contribute to EY’s mission by helping clients navigate UK and international tax landscapes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of business tax advisory projects with technical excellence and business-focused outcomes
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality, value-adding work
• Co-ordinate and coach junior team members; support their development
• Identify opportunities within existing clients and in the market to win new work
• Support team strategy and operations, and mentor less experienced colleagues
• Manage projects effectively to deliver on financial metrics and risk controls
• Collaborate across teams to address complex tax issues in restructurings, due diligence, and international tax

Key requirements

• Experienced corporate tax manager with UK corporate tax experience
• Experience in business tax advisory projects including restructurings, due diligence, and tax structuring for acquisitions
• Solid background in UK corporate tax compliance and international tax matters preferable
• Up-to-date knowledge of BEPS and CBCR developments
• Proven track record in business development with existing clients and new targets
• Experience in managing and coaching others
• Client-focused with excellent relationship management and communication skills
• Strong project management, risk awareness, and ability to deliver financial metrics
