Junior Systems Administrator

Location: Guildford Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 DOE

A great opportunity for an ambitious Junior Systems Administrator to join a growing technology business. Working within a collaborative IT team, you’ll be involved in everything from server and network administration to user support, gaining valuable experience across a broad technical estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploying software and administering user accounts, groups and system policies
• Monitoring infrastructure, services and applications to identify and resolve issues
• Installing, configuring and maintaining hardware, software, networking and application components
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting system, network and hardware faults
• Managing data backup, recovery and secure storage processes
• Replacing, upgrading and maintaining IT equipment and infrastructure
• Supporting cyber security best practices and internal security controls
• Assisting with compliance against recognised information security standards
• Maintaining accurate IT documentation, processes and asset records
• Providing technical support to internal users and external customers
• Managing the IT asset lifecycle from deployment through to retirement
• Undertaking occasional travel to other business locations for support and maintenance activities
• Supporting access control, CCTV and telephony systems
• Setting up workstations and IT equipment for new and existing employees
