Overview
You will advance RF design for high-power laser applications within a multidisciplinary team. You’ll influence product performance and reliability from concept to production, tackling complex RF challenges across laser excitation systems. The role sits at the intersection of RF development and manufacturing, shaping next-generation power systems for industrial and scientific use. You will work on technically deep problems, collaborate across teams, and contribute to a global technology leader. Responsibilities
- Design RF electronics for laser excitation systems
- Develop next-generation RF amplifiers from concept through production
- Conduct RF testing, measurement and characterization
- Design prototypes and experimental test equipment
- Create schematics, PCB layouts and BOMs
- Analyze performance data and translate results into improvements
- Support manufacturing and continuous improvement activities
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Identify and evaluate emerging RF technologies and components
Key requirements
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (MSc advantageous)
- Practical RF development experience
- Experience taking products from concept through production
- Strong RF amplifier knowledge
- Expertise in HF/VHF systems
- PCB design and RF layout experience
- Understanding of FCC and CE compliance requirements
- Strong experimental and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
