Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD)

Salary: £18.95 per hour plus enhancements of up to 2x pay for eligible shifts

Hours: Full Time | 37.5 hours per week | 3 x 12.5-hour shifts

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) to join our team at a specialist mental health hospital in Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and recovery-focused environment, providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering outstanding clinical care and positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective and person-centred nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with professional standards.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Promote patient wellbeing, dignity and recovery at all times.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues and healthcare support workers.

What We’re Looking For

• Current NMC registration as an RGN, RMN or RNLD.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate and patient-focused approach.
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous experience in mental health or inpatient settings is desirable but not essential.
