Overview

In this Senior Project Manager role, you will lead complex projects for Central and Local Government from our Central London hub. You’ll apply a structured approach to planning, tracking progress, and coordinating with clients, designers and contractors to deliver outcomes. You’ll engage in pre- and post-contract challenges, driving robust delivery and contract administration where relevant. This position suits a proactive team player who thrives on cross-functional collaboration and high standards of delivery, across multiple live projects and pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct background research, data collection and benchmarking
  • Set up effective project processes and systems
  • Develop and maintain project plans
  • Monitor progress and performance indicators
  • Track and document changes
  • Prepare project communications and formal progress reports
  • Liaise with client, contractors and designers
  • Attend meetings and draft minutes

Key requirements

  • Engineering qualification and/or background (preferably civil, structural, mechanical/electrical)
  • Broad understanding of the development lifecycle (business case, design, consents, procurement, delivery, handover, management)
  • Direct experience of on-site construction
  • Experience in residential-led or mixed-use projects, preferably at enabling stage (highways, utilities, enabling works, remediation, public realm, bridges, utility diversions or upgrades, managing S106 or S278 obligations)
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Team player with collaborative mindset
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • On-site construction experience
  • Contract administration understanding
  • Project planning and governance
