Full Stack Python Developer – Fintech

Overview

In this role you will contribute to a fintech-focused quantitative data business by building and maintaining scalable web services and tools. You will collaborate with a team of Python developers and quants to deliver robust front- and back-end solutions in a fast-changing, high-release environment. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, high-availability services
• Develop front-end and back-end web applications using Python/Flask and Angular
• Contribute to a fast release cycle within a small, skilled team
• Work with Linux/Unix system administration and network/security concerns
• Collaborate with quants and developers to shape data products
• Leverage AWS and NoSQL/SQL databases to support data services
• Implement CI/CD and test-driven development practices
• Utilize tools like Git, Jenkins, and scripting for deployment and automation

Key requirements

• Strong Python expertise (libraries include fabric, Selenium, twisted, regex, pymongo)
• Computer Science degree
• Experience building robust, scalable services
• Linux/Unix with network and security awareness
• AWS experience (boto)
• MongoDB administration; memcached; MySQL
• DVCS like Git; CI with Jenkins
• Test Driven Development (unittest, nosetests)
• Frontend experience with Angular; general full-stack capability
• Familiarity with Flask/Twisted and web service design
