Overview

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will design, implement and verify advanced control solutions for complex electromechanical, optical, aerospace, and robotic systems. You will collaborate with software and multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust control algorithms and validated models. You will build and maintain real-time HIL simulations to test software against models and translate system requirements into testable control specifications. This role offers impact across product development, verification, and performance optimization in a growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical documentation and assist the software team in implementing control algorithms
  • Develop and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) real-time simulations to test control software against models
  • Perform trade-off analysis of control concepts, components, and architectures
  • Maintain pointing budgets and ensure control systems meet system requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop, test, and verify advanced control solutions

Key requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant commercial experience in control systems for complex electromechanical, optical, aerospace, or robotic systems
  • A degree in Control Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline
  • Practical experience designing, modelling, implementing, and testing control algorithms for dynamic systems
  • Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink (or equivalent modelling/simulation platforms)
  • Ability to translate system-level requirements into control-system requirements, test cases, and verification activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex system behavior using test data and simulations
  • strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • good communication and documentation skills
  • control algorithm design
