Overview

In this role you will lead VodafoneThree’s Government Affairs activities across political, public policy, and stakeholder priorities. You will shape the stakeholder engagement strategy, translate developments into actionable guidance, and support senior leaders with persuasive briefings and campaigns. You will manage sensitive inquiries, coordinate cross-portfolio activity, and build trusted relationships with MPs, officials, and policy groups. This position sits in Corporate and offers hybrid working in London with meaningful impact on national policy and digital connectivity.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver Government Affairs strategies across political and public policy priorities, coordinating with Regulatory, Legal, Network and commercial teams
  • Monitor the political landscape to identify risks and opportunities and translate into practical guidance for senior leaders
  • Create high-quality briefings, speaking notes and submissions; develop campaigns aligning political, policy, stakeholder and business activity
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with MPs, special advisers, officials, political parties, think tanks and trade associations
  • Manage politically sensitive inquiries and casework; contribute to consultations and parliamentary inquiries; represent VodafoneThree at external meetings and events

Key requirements

  • Substantial experience in government, Parliament, politics, corporate public affairs or related field
  • Excellent political judgement with ability to identify risks/opportunities and propose actions
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver stakeholder engagement strategies and build trusted relationships
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to translate complex policy issues into clear advice and materials
  • Experience planning and delivering public affairs campaigns; able to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work at pace
