CORE / Continuous Improvement Focal

Overview

In this role you will implement and sustain Collins Aerospace CORE operating methodology to improve manufacturing output and maturity. You will drive site transformation, coach teams on CORE tools, and align with the 5-Year Strategic Roadmap including CI and digital transformation. You’ll collaborate with the global CORE team to deliver measurable improvements while building a culture of continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership position at the Wolverhampton site with a meaningful impact on efficiency, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing Goal Alignment strategy and site transformation under the CORE framework
• Coach and empower teams to deploy CORE/Continuous Improvement tools in manufacturing
• Ensure proper use of CORE tools and oversee site CORE activities
• Drive CORE events delivering benefits aligned to Safety, People, Quality, Delivery Cost and Inventory
• Identify system constraints and lead CI projects
• Support 5-Year Strategic Roadmap development (CI, Industry 4.0, digital transformation, CORE)
• Support site maturity goals and engage stakeholders in CORE initiatives
• Develop a network for knowledge sharing across Collins
• Engage factory floor to benchmark and identify future solutions
• Lead CORE assessments and workshops to enable site certification
• Oversee CORE training programmes and mentor leaders in Operations Management

Key requirements

• Degree qualification in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
• Experience using Continuous Improvement tools
• Experience in a similar manufacturing role
• Ability to work under time pressure and strong organizational skills
