Advisor-Quality Control

Overview

In this role you will provide strategic and tactical leadership to QC across the manufacturing network to improve operational efficiency through data analysis, capacity planning, and long-range scheduling. You will drive cross-functional process improvements, train teams in continuous improvement and lean techniques, and optimize QC operations with metrics and cost-benefit analyses. You will partner across supply chain, regulatory, IT, and governance to align QC testing with manufacturing. The role includes travel up to 30% and offers the chance to shape quality culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects to enhance QC processes and standardize lab capacity planning in line with site manufacturing capacity across the QC Network
• Train and mentor teams in Operational Excellence and lean techniques, including root cause analysis for laboratory inefficiencies
• Evaluate and simplify QC operations using metrics and a network-wide testing strategy to optimize resource allocation and identify cost reduction opportunities
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across supply chain, regulatory, TS/MS, Site/Central governance, Laboratory Informatics, IT, and Digital Steering committee
• Promote an Operational Excellence culture through GEMBA walks, visual boards, governance meetings, and proactive performance monitoring

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related Physical or Life Science
• 5+ years of laboratory operations experience with continuous improvement projects
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to influence peers and stakeholders
