Overview

In this role you will perform on-floor quality checks and documentation to ensure Kerry’s standards in Coleraine. You will work within a cross-functional team to support GMP, food safety, and quality initiatives, focusing on accurate data capture and timely verification of QC activities. The position offers exposure to sensory, chemical, and microbiological checks, with scope to contribute to investigations and non-conforming material control. Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine GMP, hygiene and food safety checks on the production floor following site procedures and Kerry standards
  • Verify and record critical checks, review records for accuracy and timing
  • Support routine QC checks (sensory, viscosity, pH, water activity, colour, micro sampling, etc.)
  • Issue, record and reconcile labels per site control procedures and escalate discrepancies
  • Assist investigations into food safety, quality, allergens, GMP incidents by collecting records and samples
  • Support identification, segregation and status control of non-conforming materials (raws, packaging, WIP, finished goods)
  • Complete and verify QC records accurately and promptly
  • Assist audit readiness, floor standards, shift handovers, inspection programs and close-out of quality actions
  • Ensure QC equipment is available, clean, and calibrated before use
  • Escalate quality or food safety concerns to QA Group Lead, Production Lead and Quality Manager

Key requirements

  • Proficient written, numerical and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to record, interpret and escalate key process data
  • Understanding of GMP, allergen controls, label control and good documentation practice
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete records accurately and on time
  • Food manufacturing or Quality Control experience would be an advantage
  • Food Safety or HACCP awareness qualification would be desirable
  • Experience in production floor verification or positive release checks would be beneficial
