Senior ADMS-OMS & OT Integration Consultant | Reading/Perth/Aberdeen/Glasgow

Overview

In this role you will support SSEN’s ADMS upgrade, OMS transition and OT integration, applying hands-on GE PowerOn and OT operations expertise. You will work with multi-vendor teams to convert discovery into practical delivery actions, ensuring environment readiness and robust integration. You will shape outage, restoration and control room workflows, balancing technical delivery with governance and risk management. This opportunity lets you influence critical utility operations through ADMS modernization and cross-system integration in a complex, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Support ADMS upgrade validation, environment readiness and functional impact assessment
• Assess OMS migration impacts from SIMS to PowerOn OMS, including outage, incident, call, crew and restoration workflows
• Identify standard PowerOn capability versus SSEN-specific customization or configuration needs
• Support PowerOn Mobile and regulatory reporting configuration assessment
• Collaborate with cyber, infrastructure and architecture teams on OT/HOTi placement, network impacts and virtualization
• Assist sizing inputs and application dependency mapping for ADMS environments
• Clarify ownership gaps around RTU commissioning, OT networking and application support
• Define integration needs across Workforce, Customer Comms, SMS, Web Outage Maps, Regulatory Reporting and analytics platforms
• Review SOAP, DB links, API gateway, Kafka and event-driven integration options for resilience
• Support DERMS-to-ADMS interface discovery where included in scope
• Build functional test scenarios for outage lifecycle, switching, SCADA events, call handling, crew dispatch and restoration
• Support SIT, UAT, regression and operational cutover readiness
• Convert workshops into crisp requirements, risks, actions and acceptance criteria

Key requirements

• Strong experience in utilities, ADMS, OMS, SCADA or OT application delivery
• Hands-on exposure to GE PowerOn Advantage ADMS; PowerOn OMS experience strongly preferred
• Good understanding of outage management, switching, restoration and control room workflows
• Experience in OT environments, security zones, operational availability and production support constraints
• Ability to interpret architecture, interface, environment and infrastructure dependencies
• Good SQL/data understanding for reporting, reconciliation and operational investigation
• Strong workshop facilitation, documentation and stakeholder management skills
