Mental Health Support Worker
Location: South Shields, NE33 2QU
Hours: 18 per week
Pay: £12.71 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in South Shields. In this role you will provide compassionate support, working with a dynamic, dedicated team, offering flexibility while making a significant impact on people’s lives. The role requires resilience, an open mind, and a non-judgmental approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Tending to all aspects of daily living, including personal care.
- Domestic household support (cooking, cleaning, and maintaining the home).
- Support with budgeting and finances.
- Social support, helping to engage in community and social activities.
- Family support, assisting families in maintaining relationships.
- Medication support.
- Liaison with health professionals and social care professionals to ensure holistic care.
- In-house and out-of-house activities, including assisting with outings and inter
- Various shift patterns including days, evenings, nights, weekends and sleep overs. Day shift 8am – 9pm.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
