Overview

In this Senior Paraplanner role, you will provide technical expertise to Financial Planning Advisors, supporting the delivery of high-quality planning solutions and strong client outcomes. You will produce suitability reports, conduct technical research, and analyse complex cases to support end-to-end advice. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients, colleagues, and administration teams to ensure a smooth client experience while upholding FCA compliance. You’ll mentor junior colleagues and help evolve paraplanning processes in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality suitability reports, recommendations and client review documentation
  • Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection and estate planning
  • Support Advisors throughout the financial planning process
  • Gather, maintain and analyse client information using internal systems
  • Liaise with clients, providers and professional connections as required
  • Work closely with administration teams to deliver an excellent client experience
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Contribute to the development of paraplanning processes and best practice
  • Support the production of management information and reporting
  • Mentor and share knowledge with junior team members where appropriate
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with FCA regulations and internal compliance standards

Key requirements

  • Significant paraplanning experience within a financial planning, wealth management or private client environment
  • Strong technical knowledge across key areas of financial planning
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth and complex client cases
  • Excellent report-writing, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience using financial planning and cashflow modelling tools
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work proactively
  • CII Level 4 Diploma qualified (or equivalent), with progression towards Level 6/Chartered status preferred
