Overview
In this role you shape scalable, secure cloud architectures for public sector and regulated clients. You will lead architecture discussions, mentor small delivery teams, and drive modernization through AWS-enabled platforms and DevOps practices. You’ll balance hands-on delivery with strategic guidance, enabling digital transformation. This role sits in Credera’s Technology Solutions function with a hybrid model and security clearance requirements. You’ll work closely with clients to deliver impactful, cost-aware cloud solutions that meet complex governance needs.

Responsibilities
- design scalable, secure cloud solutions using AWS and cloud-native patterns
- advise clients on architecture choices and modernization journeys
- lead small teams or workstreams while staying close to delivery
- facilitate platform engineering, IaC, and modern DevOps practices
- define target architectures, roadmaps, and technical governance
- implement cloud security, resilience, and cost-management controls
- build strong client relationships and provide architectural guidance to delivery teams
- assess risks and propose pragmatic solutions
Key requirements
- 5+ years in cloud architecture, engineering and transformation delivery
- AWS certification (Associate or Professional)
- expertise in AWS services, cloud-native architectures, and secure, scalable design
- experience migrating or modernising cloud environments
- ability to define architectures, capabilities and roadmaps aligned to business objectives
- strong IaC, platform engineering and modern DevOps understanding
- experience implementing security, governance and resilience in enterprise settings
- experience leading small teams or workstreams and delivering to time/cost/quality
- ability to engage with stakeholders and provide architectural guidance
- problem-solving and risk assessment capabilities
- knowledge of cloud financial management and cost drivers
- client-facing consulting experience and ability to deliver business value through technology
- mentoring of engineers and junior team members
- active SC clearance
