Senior Civil Engineer – Infrastructure

You will deliver design work for ports, drainage, and utilities, collaborating across a networked team to support international projects. Responsibilities

• Take technical responsibility to ensure designs meet current standards and best practices
• Prepare civil/ utilities/ pavement and drainage designs from feasibility to detailed design
• Produce and review design calculations and checking of others’ work
• Create Microdrainage designs for below-ground drainage with schedules
• Develop sketches and designs for development by technicians and perform reviews prior to issue
• Monitor project commercial and technical management to keep within budget
• Develop innovative design solutions for clients
• Promote digital, automation and parametric methods in design on projects

Key requirements

• BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), Chartered or near-chartered with ICE or equivalent
• Proven experience in industrial engineering, pavement and drainage design
• Competent in Micro Drainage software
• Experience with Civil 3D and SUDS
• Experience with pumped drainage systems and surcharged outfalls
• Knowledge of DMRB design and Highways Works specification
• Experience in interfacing utilities with industrial sites and highways
• Strong communication skills
