Overview
Join Jacobs’ Future Energy & Power Systems team to lead and deliver complex power system studies across generation, transmission, renewables, energy storage and industrial networks. You will drive modelling, feasibility, grid code and EMT studies while collaborating with UK and international clients to support the energy transition. This role combines technical leadership with client engagement and cross-continental teamwork. You will shape outcomes for decarbonisation projects and contribute to innovative, high-impact power systems work.

Responsibilities
- Power system modelling and model verification
- Feasibility studies including load flow and fault level assessments
- Determining equipment performance specifications
- Grid Code compliance studies
- Interconnection/impact studies
- EMT studies including insulation coordination, TRANSIENT RECOVERY VOLTAGE, transient overvoltage and lightning studies
- Lead study activities for proposals, modelling, simulations, results analysis and reporting
- Lead and contribute to client meetings and presentations
- Collaborate with team members in the UK and globally on transmission, distribution, renewables and industrial systems
Key requirements
- Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or higher; Masters or PhD in a relevant field
- Membership of a recognised professional institution, preferably Chartered
- Proficient in power system modelling and analysis using DIgSILENT, PSS/E, ETAP and PSCAD
- Experience in power systems, utility and renewable projects
