In this role you will help deliver AI-enabled legal workflows within a high-performing Innovation team at a prestigious international law firm. You will work closely with fee earners and knowledge professionals to humanize and scale AI for both transactional and contentious workstreams. The position focuses on translating legal processes into structured prompts and reusable playbooks, and bringing production-ready AI solutions to support complex matters. Responsibilities
- Partner with fee earners and knowledge professionals to map how matters run and identify AI value points
- Translate legal processes into prompts, workflows and playbooks
- Design, build and deploy AI solutions from rapid prototyping to production-ready tools
- Lead AI quality, evaluation and benchmarking across the practice
- Act as bridge between legal teams, product, technology and external vendors
- Upskill knowledge Lawyers and wider teams through training and engagement
- Identify common solutions across practice areas to drive consistency and scalability
- Contribute to wider innovation strategy and firm-wide tool adoption
Key requirements
- Qualified Lawyer in England and Wales or a comparable jurisdiction
- Typically 4 to 7 years’ PQE at a leading law firm
- Strong experience in Transactions or Disputes aligned to the hiring area
- Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders on complex legal matters
- Demonstrable interest in legal technology and AI with hands-on experience
- Experience building or delivering legal-tech solutions such as workflows, playbooks or internal tools
- Strong structuring skills to translate complex legal processes into scalable solutions
- Clear communicator across legal, technical and product teams
