W&I Underwriter // Southern Europe

Overview

In this role you will join a corporate insurer focused on international transactional risk to own the W&I underwriting process for cross-border M&A deals. You will work closely with brokers, legal counsel and deal teams to assess and price risk across Southern Europe, with fluency in French or Italian essential. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy on live transactions and contribute to an international book of business with clear progression paths. You will thrive in a collaborative, cross-border team that supports growth and transformation.

Responsibilities

• Own the underwriting process from triage to policy issuance
• Collaborate with brokers, legal counsel and deal teams to assess and price M&A risk
• Manage cross-border transactions with emphasis on Southern Europe
• Liaise with local counsel and clients on deal specifics
• Operate with autonomy on live deals
• Contribute to international book of business and team growth

Key requirements

• W&I experience from underwriting or broking
• Fluency in French or Italian
• Comfort with autonomy on live transactions
• Experience with cross-border M&A risk assessment and pricing
• Knowledge of handling transactions with brokers and counsel
