Senior Reinsurance Client Manager

Overview

In this role you will manage reinsurance client relationships across Facultative and Treaty lines, handling property, cargo and marine classes. You will facilitate and document reinsurance contracts, stay ahead of market trends, and collaborate with underwriters and brokers to tailor terms. You’ll service accounts efficiently while maintaining high technical standards and supporting growth of the Facultative and Treaty practice. This is a client-facing, cross-functional role in a global Lloyd’s broker environment with a strong focus on outcomes and market opportunities.

Responsibilities

• facilitate production and placement of reinsurance contracts per client requests and regulatory requirements
• manage placement of designated risks and maintain documentation across the risk life cycle
• keep up to date with insurance marketplace, trends, and cycles to identify market opportunities
• develop and manage relationships with market representatives (underwriters, brokers)
• review and analyze client needs to determine appropriate products and terms for coverage
• prepare data and submission documentation for underwriters
• ensure accounts are serviced efficiently and professionally
• communicate technical knowledge effectively to diverse audiences
• complete mandatory training requirements

Key requirements

• Previous experience as a Client Manager within Facultative and Treaty
• Client management experience within a broking house or insurer
• Knowledge of Treaty or Facultative market; experience with global programmes preferred
• Experience producing a slip from scratch
• ability to work with brokers, client directors and underwriters on queries
