Cost Lawyer FTC

Overview

We are looking for a qualified Cost Lawyer or experienced Draftsperson to join the firm on a 9 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing costs schedules, statements of costs and detailed bills of costs
• Analysing and providing commentary on equivalent documents submitted by opposing parties
• Advising on costs budgets and preparing client estimates
• Producing and advising on supporting schedules for applications seeking security for costs and requests for interim payments on account
• Collaborating with Reed Smith litigators to provide clients with strategic advice on costs recovery and the broader procedural issues that arise in connection with such matters

Qualifications

Ideally you will have experience of working with London City firms or equivalent large commercial practices and ideally, with experience of dealing with shipping disputes and arbitration proceedings. It is essential that you have good numeracy, excel, writing and communication skills and ideally have experience with AI and CostsMaster.
