Senior Town Planner – 50,000 + package – North London

Overview

In this role you will support the Land and Planning Team to drive planning decisions on acquisitions and major schemes across London and the Home Counties. You will liaise with local authorities, consultants, and architects to progress planning applications and briefs from feasibility to instruction. The position combines due diligence, budgeting, and stakeholder negotiations to deliver timely determinations on significant projects. This is an opportunity to shape housing development outcomes within a collaborative, cross‑functional setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective relationships with local authorities, GLA, consultants and agents; liaise and negotiate with planning officers, architects and third parties
• Conduct planning appraisals and due diligence for potential acquisition sites; prepare briefs to architects from feasibility to planning instruction
• Prepare and manage planning applications, statements, budgets, and programs; coordinate consultant teams from acquisition to determination
• Attend land and planning meetings; present at meetings, public consultations and planning committees

Key requirements

• 2-5 years’ experience, ideally with a Planning Consultancy or Developer
• London Authorities/GLA experience desirable
• MRTPI qualification
