Senior Technical Coordinator

Overview

In this role you will manage the full design process for housing projects, coordinating consultants and liaising with authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and Vistry specifications. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver designs on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, while upholding customer satisfaction. The position combines hands-on technical delivery with collaborative leadership in a structured, value-driven environment. This is an opportunity to shape technical delivery across multiple sites and support sustainable, high-quality home builds.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of civil, structural and architectural designs across multiple sites from design through to completion
• Undertake Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015 and ensure health, safety and environmental documentation
• Manage consultant fee proposals, appointments, and ensure design approvals and legal agreements (S104, S38, S278) are secured
• Coordinate information with architects, engineers, and landscape architects to maintain design consistency
• Prepare drawings and documents for tender, construction issue and handover
• Support land acquisition, planning conditions, and progression of S106, and attend progress/pre-start meetings
• Ensure compliance with Vistry SHE policies and industry regulations
• Monitor development fees and ensure value engineering and buildability considerations are applied

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in a technical role with a residential house builder
• Proficient IT literacy with AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Proven track record of delivering design on time, within budget and to quality standards with high customer satisfaction
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask
• Commercial awareness and effective decision-making within authority
• Ability to lead and work as part of a team and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Problem analysis and solution delivery with strong mathematical ability
