This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong credit control experience who is ready to take ownership of a portfolio of strategic clients while also leading and supporting a small team.The business has ambitious long-term growth plans and is committed to investing in its people, processes and future development.Key ResponsibilitiesManage credit control across a portfolio of strategic clientsLead, support and motivate a small team of Credit ControllersManage and prioritise high-value outstanding debtsAchieve agreed credit control and management KPIsMaintain excellent customer relationships through professional and effective communicationLead the resolution of customer queries and account disputesChase missed, short or promised paymentsManage and raise Letters Before Action (LBAs)Manage and chase Writ proceedingsRun customer payment remindersPost and allocate cash dailyChase and apply customer remittancesMaintain accurate debtor records and communicationsManage the legal section of the Debtor TrackerFollow established Credit Control proceduresContribute to process improvements designed to reduce debtor daysSupport the wider Finance function in maintaining a strong cash positionAbout YouWe’re looking for an experienced Credit Controller with at least three years’ experience in a Senior Credit Controller, Lead Credit Controller or similar position.You’ll be confident managing your own workload, dealing with high-value accounts and communicating effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.You’ll ideally have:Previous experience in a Senior or Lead Credit Control positionExperience managing or mentoring a small teamA proven track record of improving debtor days and credit control processesStrong communication and customer relationship skillsExperience using **CreditSafe**Experience working with finance systems, ideally those with a collections moduleStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent attention to detail and record-keepingConfidence dealing with escalated queries and payment issuesExperience managing legal credit control processes would be advantageousExperience within the security or construction sectors would be desirable, but is **not essential**What’s On Offer?This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact within the Finance function.The company places a strong emphasis on its people and encourages employees to contribute ideas, embrace change and play an active role in its continued growth.The role also comes with a strong benefits package, including:Additional annual leaveCycle to Work schemeEmployee discountEnhanced maternity leaveEnhanced paternity leaveHealth & wellbeing programmeOn-site gymPaid volunteer timeProfit-sharing schemeEmployee referral programmeSick paySTEM Recruitment Solutions Ltd operates as both a Recruitment Agency and a Recruitment Business.
