Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join Brent Council’s Children’s Social Care service on a locum basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled social worker looking to take on a senior role within a busy local authority environment and make a positive difference to children, young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied and complex caseload within Children’s Social Care.
• Undertake assessments and develop effective plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
• Work collaboratively with children, families, carers and partner agencies.
• Identify and manage risk, ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are met.
• Prepare and contribute to reports, reviews and relevant statutory processes.
• Promote positive outcomes and support children and families to achieve sustainable change.
• Work in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and professional standards.
• Demonstrate professional leadership and support colleagues where required.

Requirements

• Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Significant experience working within Children’s Social Care.
• Previous experience working at a Senior Social Worker level.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, assessment and statutory social work practice.
• Excellent communication, organisation and case-management skills.
• Ability to work confidently with complex cases and multi-agency professionals.
• Commitment to child-centred and strengths-based practice.
