Senior Fire Engineer at Stantec leads performance-based and code-compliant fire strategies across diverse sectors. Responsibilities

• Deliver fire strategies for complex buildings across healthcare, education, commercial, residential, life sciences and regeneration sectors
• Provide technical leadership across all project stages (concept design, detailed design, construction, handover)
• Oversee fire and smoke modelling (CFD), evacuation modelling and smoke control strategies
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and Stantec quality processes (ADB, BS 9991, BS 9999, NFPA, EN)
• Act as Technical Lead on major bids and complex multidisciplinary schemes
• Lead client meetings, workshops, and regulatory consultations
• Champion fire-safety integration across Architecture, MEP, Structural, Transport, Environmental and PM teams
• Support growth of Fire Engineering service and contribute to bid writing and strategic pursuits
• Mentor junior Fire Engineers and promote technical excellence and knowledge-sharing

Key requirements

• Experience producing fire strategies for complex buildings
• Proficiency in FDS, PyroSim, Pathfinder or similar modelling tools
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical matters to clients
• Experience in a consultancy environment on multidisciplinary projects
• Proactive, collaborative mindset aligned to company values
• Degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline; Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards with IFE or equivalent (preferred)
