Bank ACP / ANP

Overview

In this bank role, you will provide autonomous, high-quality clinical care across two rural sites, handling undifferentiated and acute presentations. You will conduct telephone, video and face-to-face consultations, diagnose, treat and independently prescribe within your scope, and support same-day demand within a Total Clinical Triage model. You work within a multidisciplinary team, uphold governance and quality improvement, and have potential for regular sessions or a permanent position. This is a flexible, clinician-led opportunity in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated, acute and chronic conditions
• Undertake telephone, video and face-to-face consultations as clinically appropriate
• Independently prescribe within professional competence and current legislation
• Request, interpret and act on investigations
• Develop evidence-based management plans and refer to secondary care or multidisciplinary teams as needed
• Escalate deteriorating patients appropriately
• Deliver health promotion and self-management advice
• Maintain accurate clinical records (SystmOne) and participate in governance and quality improvement
• Collaborate with GPs, Nurses, HCAs, Pharmacists and the wider practice team
• Contribute to Total Clinical Triage and maintain professional standards and ongoing CPD

Key requirements

• Current registration with NMC, HCPC or other UK regulator
• MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent)
• Independent Prescriber qualification
• Evidence of ongoing CPD
• Significant post-qualification experience in UK General Practice
• Experience with autonomous practice and team-based care
• Experience using electronic clinical record systems
• Experience using SystmOne (desirable)
• Experience in Total Clinical Triage (desirable)
• Ability to manage undifferentiated and acute presentations
