Senior Project Controls Manager (Reporting) – Infrastructure

Overview

In this role, you will act as the focal point for month-end project reporting across portfolio, PMO, and senior management, delivering accurate, timely information. You will support governance, baseline management, and continuous improvement of reporting processes, working with Power BI and technical teams to create dashboards. You’ll engage stakeholders to drive adoption of new reporting tools and ensure timely delivery of outputs. You’ll coordinate meetings, maintain calendars, and track actions to keep projects on schedule. This role offers the opportunity to shape visibility and performance across complex, regulated infrastructure projects in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the month-end reporting focal point for portfolio, programme, PMO, supply chain and senior management
• Produce accurate and timely project reporting information and ensure on-time contributions from others
• Support project controls governance, change control and baseline management activities
• Represent project interests in reporting continuous improvement initiatives across the programme
• Lead development of new dashboards with Power BI/technical experts and coordinate changes
• Drive stakeholder buy-in for new reporting processes/tools to improve visibility of progress
• Maintain project reporting archive folders and files
• Liaise with Project Managers, Integration Director and Project Controls Manager to support delivery
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and project controls performance
• Provide project controls support to the Project Manager and delivery team
• Organise and coordinate governance forums and project meetings, maintain calendar and reporting schedule
• Attend key meetings, capture decisions/actions/outputs, and track escalations for timely completion

Key requirements

• Experience in a project controls, PMO or project management environment
• Excellent communication and inquisitive nature with ability to simplify updates for varied audiences
• Knowledge of project controls processes (reporting, risk, cost, schedule, change management)
• Interest and desire to develop a career in project controls
• Experience using reporting tools (Power BI, Foundry, Excel) and managing project data
• Strong attention to detail and ability to validate information accuracy
• Experience maintaining trackers, management information and reporting outputs
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills in complex projects
• Experience in highly regulated infrastructure sectors is desirable
