Project Controls Manager

Overview

In this role you contribute to high-stakes infrastructure projects with a focus on nuclear. You will work within a project controls function to guide planning, cost, risk, change, and reporting activities. You will deliver performance insights to senior stakeholders and, in the senior position, lead project controls processes across multidisciplinary teams. The opportunity centers on complex programmes such as Sizewell C, offering development, collaboration, and exposure to strategic infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of planning, cost, risk, change, and reporting activities
• Develop and maintain project controls processes and procedures
• Monitor and report project performance to senior stakeholders
• Lead project controls processes (Senior role)
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure deliverables are met
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
• Prepare and deliver performance reports

Key requirements

• Experience in project controls within large, complex programme environments
• Understanding of integration across planning, cost, risk, and reporting functions
• Proficiency in producing performance reports for senior stakeholders
• Experience in sectors such as nuclear, energy, rail, aviation, utilities, highways, or defence
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work on-site at client offices (2-3 days per week)
• Senior role: significant experience leading project controls processes
• Senior role: relevant qualifications in project management or related field
