Responsibilities
- Advance state-of-the-art techniques in analogue signal processing and AI for RF/EME applications
- Collaborate with defence and national security stakeholders
- Develop and implement algorithms for signal analysis and sensor fusion
- Lead and mentor junior researchers and PhD students
- Publish journal-quality results and present findings
- Contribute to collaborative research across new areas and techniques
Key requirements
- PhD in physics, maths, engineering or a similar field
- Experience in research or commercial R&D with leadership/mentoring roles
- Expertise in data science, analogue signal processing, and algorithm development (RF, radar, wireless, audio, SDR, medical devices, etc.)
- Strong Python or equivalent coding skills and willingness to contribute to a codebase
- Strong technical communication skills and ability to lead meetings and briefings
- Track record of publications with data analysis and visualization
- Interest in mentoring junior researchers
- Sole British nationality and ability to obtain security clearance (with institutional support)
