UK Investment Banking – Investment Companies

Overview

In this role you will support Jefferies’ UK Investment Banking team in executing M&A, ECM, DCM, and strategic advisory assignments for UK and international clients. You will work with senior bankers, clients, and internal partners to drive deal execution, origination, and market insight across sectors. You’ll build and refine financial models, prepare client materials, and help identify new business opportunities, contributing to a collaborative, cross‑border platform. Responsibilities

• Lead and support the execution of M&A, ECM, DCM, and strategic advisory mandates
• Manage day‑to‑day deal processes, including preparing client materials, coordinating due diligence, and overseeing workstreams
• Build, review, and refine detailed financial models and valuation analyses
• Prepare and deliver pitches, strategic updates, and market materials with senior bankers
• Strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Conduct market research, peer benchmarking, and sector analysis to support client dialogues and origination
• Stay current on UK market trends, regulatory developments, and sector themes
• Mentor Analysts and interns, providing guidance and oversight
• Collaborate across product and sector teams within Jefferies’ global platform

Key requirements

• Associate Level: minimum 3 years of investment banking experience, ideally in M&A or sector‑focused teams
• Vice President Level: 5–7 years of relevant experience with proven VP‑ready capability and track record of leading transaction workstreams and working directly with clients
