Overview

As an Associate in Morgan Stanley’s Global Industries Group, you drive execution of corporate finance transactions across M&A and capital markets for Industrials clients in Europe. You collaborate with senior bankers and cross-functional teams to originate, analyze and present strategic opportunities, contributing to high-impact deals and client advisory. The role blends rigorous financial modelling with client-facing presentation and mentoring of Analysts. You will operate in a fast-paced, global environment that values integrity and collaboration, offering exposure to a broad set of industrials transactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist in execution of corporate finance transactions (IPO, M&A, strategic advisory)
• Perform financial analysis, strategic business analysis and in-depth industry research
• Contribute to team discussions and client meetings
• Provide rapid, accurate market judgments to colleagues and clients
• Prepare and deliver client presentations clearly and persuasively
• Act as a mentor and role model to Analysts; promote team culture
• Collaborate closely with senior bankers and other groups

Key requirements

• Top class degree or overseas equivalent in or related to finance from a leading university
• Relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience
• Extensive M&A advisory deal experience in the Industrials sector required
• Fluent in English and either German or French
• Strong analytical and modelling skills
• Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyse and value businesses
