Payroll Supervisor Ballykelly (Hybrid)

We are partnering with an award-winning and rapidly growing environmental engineering company who are seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join their expanding payroll team in Ballykelly.

This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to take ownership of weekly and monthly UK payrolls while playing a key role in improving payroll processes, systems and controls as the organisation continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing end-to-end weekly and monthly UK payrolls
• Processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including overtime, shifts and deductions
• Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and payroll data
• Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and HMRC requirements
• Processing PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory deductions
• Completing payroll reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing and submitting FPS and EPS reports to HMRC
• Managing year-end payroll processes, including P60s
• Supporting workplace pension auto-enrolment
• Maintaining payroll and time & attendance systems
• Working with HR, Finance and management to resolve payroll queries
• Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems and automation

Who were looking for:

• Minimum 5 years experience in high-volume UK payroll
• Experience processing both weekly and monthly payrolls
• Strong experience managing hourly paid employees, overtime and variable pay
• Good knowledge of PAYE, NI, statutory payments and payroll deductions
• Experience with payroll and time & attendance systems
• Sage Payroll/Sage Micropay experience advantageous
• Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll reconciliations
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
• High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information
• Payroll qualification and manufacturing/production experience advantageous
