Overview
In this role you will lead electrical design activities within a multi-disciplinary water team, delivering outline to detailed electrical, instrumentation and control designs for UK water-assets. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to meet schedules and client needs while advancing sustainable, innovative solutions. The position offers flexible working with a minimum of three days in the office and opportunities to grow to Chartered status. You’ll contribute to AMP8 Framework projects and help shape outcomes for clients and regulatory challenges.

Responsibilities
- Undertake outline and detailed electrical, instrumentation and control designs and specifications
- Provide day-to-day technical input within a team of engineers and technicians
- Ensure design outputs align with scope, timescales, and budgets
- Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver project requirements and client value
- Lead and mentor junior engineers
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure regulatory and standards compliance
Key requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent; Chartered or progressing towards Chartered status
- Experience with water-sector assets and capital projects
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice
- Leadership, mentoring and coaching experience
