Overview
As a Principal Electrical Engineer in the Data Centre MEP team, you will lead electrical scopes on data centre projects and own delivery. You will guide a team of engineers and collaborate with multi-disciplinary colleagues to deliver innovative, sustainable electrical solutions. The role sits within a global practice that designs hyperscale and co-location facilities, requiring client liaison and strong project management. Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of electrical designs for data centre projects
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers across electrical scopes
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients
- Prepare contract documentation and specifications
- Oversee estimating, cost control and schedule adherence
- Produce feasibility studies and technical project reports
- Present technical solutions to clients and peers
- Attend design team, coordination and site meetings as required
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and other design team members
- Supervise site activities and inspections as needed
Key requirements
- Post Graduate experience in a building services design role with a focus on data centres
- Conversant with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit
- Ability to liaise confidently with clients, project managers and contractors
- Familiar with relevant regulations, standards and RIBA plan of work stages
- Ability to work under guidance from a Principal engineer and wider team
- Full clean driving licence and passport; willing to travel; international exposure possible
