Principal Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this role you will contribute to a leading property consultancy’s Building Services Design team by delivering electrical design and sustainability-focused solutions for a variety of projects. You will work within a cross-disciplinary environment, shaping designs and mentoring junior engineers while coordinating with sub-consultants. The position emphasizes design leadership, technical depth in electrical systems, and the use of allied design software to support high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Use design software in relation to electrical discipline (Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD)
• Revit experience preferred
• Project Design Management
• Maintain sound technical knowledge of electrical systems and understand sub-consultant works
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers within the electrical team

Key requirements

• Minimum 6 years’ experience
• Experience in residential and commercial sectors
• Knowledge of electrical systems and sub-consultant coordination
• Proficiency with design software; Revit preferred
• Project Design Management experience
