Overview
In this role you will lead costing activities for new projects with a prestigious OEM, reporting to the Financial Director. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate financials and drive cost analysis across development stages. You will support tooling changes, tooling costs, and variable costs, and manage intercompany make-or-buy decisions. You contribute to Lear’s financial strategy while communicating risks and opportunities to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate new RFQ costing with Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering and Finance to deliver accurate financials on schedule
- Lead cost analysis teams to track activity, cost evolution and pricing during product development
- Provide cost analysis support for tooling changes and variable costs (was-is)
- Oversee intercompany make-or-buy processes with divisions such as Foam, Trim covers, Headrests, Wire harness and Metal parts
- Deliver management updates on risks and opportunities for development products
- Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Program Management, Purchasing and Cost Analysis teams
- Contribute to Lear’s financial strategy and decision-making processes
