Markets Treasury – Resource Management & Analytics – Vice President

Overview

In this VP role, you will lead the EMEA Markets Treasury function, shaping how we allocate financial resources across balance sheet, liquidity, capital, and leverage. You’ll bridge Corporate Treasury and the Markets business to incentivize client activity and optimize resource use, while collaborating with data, technology, and quant teams on our data agenda. You’ll partner with trading desks to anticipate needs, analyze desk profitability, and assess regulatory impacts. This position offers impact at scale within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and a clear path to shaping our resource management strategy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on financial resource topics and their business impact
• Build relationships with trading desks to anticipate needs and understand drivers of resource consumption
• Partner with trading desks to optimize financial resource usage
• Analyze profitability metrics across desks (e.g., ROE, liquidity, GSIB)
• Assess effects of regulatory changes and support advocacy efforts
• Understand regional competitive landscape and binding resource constraints
• Explain fund transfer pricing between TCIO and LOB trading desks
• Provide treasury guidance on infrastructure services with strong resource impact (clearing, collateral, liquidity)
• Co-develop new tools and analytics with the Treasury Data & Analytics team

Key requirements

• Solid related industry experience in LOB Treasury, Trading, or Financial Resource Management
• Deep understanding of Basel III RWA, GSIB, liquidity (LCR/internal stress), leverage, and regulatory/clearing margins
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams
• Strong profitability metrics knowledge and drivers
• Pricing and risk management knowledge for financing, cash, and derivatives
• Experience analyzing large data sets to identify trends
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication with senior stakeholders
• Experience collaborating with technology and quantitative research teams on data projects
