In this role you will plan and deliver a wide range of activities to enhance residents’ physical, psychological and social well-being. You will gather life histories to tailor engagement and promote dignity, independence and fulfilment. Working within a close-knit team, you help sustain a safe, positive home environment and contribute to a culture of compassionate, meaningful care. Responsibilities
- Provide a broad program of activities to stimulate residents’ well-being
- Identify residents’ life history, needs and preferences to build detailed life stories
- Plan and submit a monthly activity and wellbeing plan to the Home Manager, plus a weekly overview
- Arrange activities, events and outings and involve staff, relatives and visitors
- Maintain a safe living and working environment and support the home’s professional image
Key requirements
- Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting
- Experience organising activities and events
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to stimulating activities
