Overview

In this role you will design, develop and test RF systems for satellite communications, contributing to next-generation orbital missions. You’ll join a fast-moving, highly skilled engineering team and work on RF technology from concept to flight. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance. This position offers the chance to shape space-grade RF solutions and stay at the cutting edge of the field.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF systems and components for satellite platforms
  • Support link budgets, frequency planning, and system-level RF performance analysis
  • Integrate and test RF subsystems including antennas, filters, amplifiers, and transceivers
  • Collaborate with digital and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration
  • Conduct lab-based and on-orbit RF performance testing and troubleshooting
  • Prepare technical documentation and support project reviews
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and regulatory standards in satellite communications

Key requirements

  • Degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related discipline
  • Strong experience with RF design for satellite or aerospace applications
  • Familiarity with RF simulation tools (e.g. CST, HFSS, ADS) and lab test equipment (e.g. VNAs, spectrum analysers)
  • Knowledge of satellite link budgets, modulation schemes, and spectrum allocation
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
