RF Radar Engineer

Overview

In this role you will drive practical radar hardware development from initial architecture to prototyping, integration and testing. You join a multidisciplinary team to translate concepts into working radar systems for defence and aerospace and work across complete radar payloads. You’ll operate in RF labs and anechoic facilities, solving real hardware challenges rather than relying solely on simulations. This position offers varied projects and direct impact on deployment-ready radar technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop radar hardware from architecture to prototyping and testing
• Work across complete radar systems with cross-functional teams
• Prototype, integrate, test, and debug radar circuits and subsystems
• Collaborate with antenna, electronics, signal processing, mechanical and systems specialists
• Utilize RF laboratory facilities and anechoic chamber to validate designs

Key requirements

• Strong radar fundamentals and hands-on experience building and troubleshooting radar circuits or systems
• Degree in electronics, electrical engineering or related discipline
• Ability to solve technical problems in the laboratory beyond simulations
• Desirable: radar modelling, antenna development or radar signal processing experience
• Practical hardware-focused mindset over purely theoretical work
