Senior QA Test Engineer

Overview

In this role you own quality across web and mobile applications for a major rebuild of an international payments platform. You’ll leverage manual and automation testing with Playwright to ensure new functionality is robust and production-ready, collaborating with Product Owners and Software Engineers to shape test strategies. You will build and maintain end-to-end automation frameworks and drive testing across the full delivery lifecycle. This is a hands-on, senior role that also mentors peers and contributes to QA best practices, with a focus on impact and scalable quality.

Responsibilities

• Own automated and manual testing with automation as the primary focus
• Build and maintain Playwright automation frameworks and end-to-end tests
• Test web and mobile applications (mobile experience desirable)
• Lead testing across planning through release for projects
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, frameworks, and QA processes
• Leverage AI tooling to enhance automation, development, and code reviews
• Mentor others and contribute to QA best practices

Key requirements

• Strong experience in QA / Test Automation
• Playwright experience (Cypress also considered)
• Experience with C#, TypeScript, JavaScript or Python
• Ability to take ownership and lead testing across projects
• Cloud experience, AWS preferred
• Collaborative with strong communication skills
• Senior capability demonstrated through ownership, leadership, and mentorship
