Test Manager ((Trust Retail))

Overview

In this role you will own and shape Trust Payments’ test strategy across manual and automated testing, with a focus on building scalable automation. You will collaborate with Development Managers and technical stakeholders to drive an automation-first culture and embed quality early in the SDLC. You will define and lead the automation vision across functional, regression, API, and performance testing, selecting sustainable tooling. You will also mentor Senior Test Analysts and report on coverage and resilience metrics, ensuring GDPR and security practices are observed.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end test strategy across manual and automated testing
• Define and lead the automation testing vision across functional, regression, API, and performance layers
• Evaluate, select, and champion automation frameworks and tooling
• Ensure high-quality software testing aligned with the strategy
• Represent the test team in discussions with stakeholders, providing estimates and plans
• Continuously improve test strategy, processes, and tooling
• Collaborate with Development Manager on data protection and security threats throughout the SDLC
• Report on test coverage, automation coverage, load/testing, and DR failover metrics
• Line manage Senior Test Analysts and coach development
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and relevant legislation

Key requirements

• Test Manager experience with hands-on automation framework scaling
• ISTQB Test Manager qualification or equivalent
• Experience with Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter
• Experience creating and executing reusable automated test scripts in Java Maven
• Experience with Cucumber and Gherkin
• Knowledge of databases and SQL
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies
