Learning and Development Facilitator – Leeds and surrounding area

Overview

In this role you drive performance and quality across Avery’s care homes by delivering quality-assured training to teams. You will help ensure a competent, compliant staff group delivering exceptional resident care. You’ll lead training for multiple homes, identify learning needs via LMS, and design engaging courses, including inductions and refresher sessions, in person or virtually. You’ll also assess learner progress to close knowledge gaps and support ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions for a cluster of homes, with focus on statutory and mandatory topics
• Identify learning needs using the Learning Management System (LMS)
• Plan and design engaging learning courses and content
• Facilitate interactive induction and refresher courses (face-to-face and virtual)
• Accurately record training sessions in the LMS
• Assess learner knowledge, confidence, and understanding during training

Key requirements

• Experience in learning and development within the adult social care sector
• Experience in adult social care and related qualifications
• Knowledge of statutory and mandatory training requirements
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and meeting neurodiversity learning needs
• Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or willingness to work towards it)
• Level 3 (or above) in Health and Social Care (or similar)
• A UK driving licence and own transport
