Overview

In this role you will shape and lead a new Culture Team within a restructured People and Culture Directorate, driving the North London Way and a long-term culture strategy. You will influence senior leaders to create conditions for cultural success, lead staff engagement and culture-change initiatives, and embed inclusion and compassionate leadership. You’ll enable the organisation to thrive and deliver outstanding care, aligning culture with the Trust’s five-year strategy and values.

Responsibilities

  • Build and guide the newly established Culture Team
  • Drive development and implementation of the North London Way
  • Shape long-term organisational culture vision across the Trust
  • Influence executive and senior leaders to enable cultural success
  • Lead innovative staff engagement, OD and culture-change initiatives
  • Utilise insight and staff voice to prioritise interventions
  • Embed inclusion, belonging and compassionate leadership across the organisation
  • Support a culture where colleagues can thrive and deliver outstanding care

Key requirements

  • Chartered Fellow CIPD (FCIPD) or working towards
  • Master’s degree in HR, Employment Law, Business, Public Administration, Organisational Development, or equivalent senior level experience OR equivalent senior level experience
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Strategic thinking and political awareness
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and coaching
  • Ability to lead change and improve services
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in education/learning and development or OD; large-scale cultural change; KPIs and budgets
  • Knowledge of NHS People Plan, engagement, equality and diversity, and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with digital transformation and sustainability
