Overview
As a Financial Analyst in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Group in London, you will support M&A advisory, capital raising, and valuation work for industrials clients. You work closely with senior bankers to build models, perform due diligence, and craft client-ready materials. Your analyses help inform transformative transactions and strategic decisions for clients across the sector. The role combines rigorous technical work with client interaction in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze and explain historical and projected financial information
- Create financial models
- Coordinate and perform business due diligence
- Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
- Conduct research on sectors, companies and potential buyers
- Value companies and businesses
- Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients and professional advisors
- Assist in planning of engagements
Key requirements
- Strong academic track record and achieved at least a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- 1-2 years of full-time investment banking experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) with Industrials experience preferred
- Experience in executing sell-side transactions
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
- Excellent understanding of financial statements analysis with ability to work through key assumptions and limitations
- Excellent understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and hit deadlines
- Independent, solutions-focused mind-set
- Fluency in a European language is strongly favourable (e.g., French, German, Spanish, Italian)
