Senior Lecturer in Construction Project Management

Overview

In this role you will deliver and shape engaging learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students in construction project management, within the School of Engineering and the Built Environment. You will contribute to curriculum innovation, supervise projects and research, and engage in knowledge exchange to strengthen student success and the School’s reputation. The role involves collaboration with colleagues and international partners, including teaching visits to China. You will support inclusive education and contribute to research and professional practice, shaping impactful education and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Teach construction project management for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the UK and China
• Contribute to curriculum innovation and development
• Supervise student projects and research
• Support School-wide research and knowledge exchange activities
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student success, graduate outcomes and the School’s reputation
• Engage internationally and contribute to a wider academic community

Key requirements

• Expertise in construction project management
• Strong knowledge of project management, construction technology, contract administration, project planning and resource management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and support students from diverse backgrounds
• Commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and inclusive education
